Happy ANZAC Day!

Today was ANZAC Day. The day commemorates the anniversary of the landing in Gallipoli in 1915, being the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand Army Corps during World War I. Today, the Australian and New Zealand nations pause to remember the lives lost during the war. There are two forms of services held across the nations on ANZAC Day, the first being the Dawn Service, which is the time of the original landing, and the second being the ANZAC Day Ceremony, which takes place at the Australian War Memorial in the presence of people such as the Prime Minister and the Governor General.

As I headed through the city, I took some shots of military vehicles waiting to push forward as part of the ANZAC DAY Parade in Melbourne's CBD.
