Fashionopolis 2012

At last, the ever anticipated fashion bloggers event of the year arrived. I had the honour of attending Australia's inaugural Fashion Bloggers Conference - Fashionopolis. The event was presented by the Sunglass Hut's Inner Circle and was founded by Nuffnang Australia and Lady Melbourne. It was a day where fashion bloggers and fashion businesses and individuals working with bloggers could all come together and share in the networking and education experience behind the fashion blogging industry.

The day's schedule was lead by a series of industry based individuals who shared their wealth of knowledge in the areas of branding your blog, monetizing your blog, using social media to its full potential and how to keep your blog differentiated from other blogs.

The event was held at 1000 Pound Bend, which was just perfect for the event. The raw and creative space complemented the creativity and style of all the fashionistas that were in attendance.

It was a magnificent day for all like minded fashion bloggers to network and learn so many tips and information that will help to propel any fashion blog.

It was wonderful day filled with an amazing bunch of stylish people all in attendance to share a first Australian fashion blogging experience.

Sunglass Hut Inner Circle as the major sponsor had a fantastic booth showcasing some incredibly cool frames.

What would a fashion blogging event be without the common accessory of the DSLR Camera.

Gorgeous styling of the room with natural elements from Domain Flowers.

The day started with Nuffnang introducing Lady Melbourne to first speak about "Your Blog, Your Brand."

The event was definitely not short of very stylish individuals.

The panel of Fashion Torque were ever so entertaining.

Every break between speakers was another opportunity for me to shoot so many wonderful outfits.

Final panel of the day with some very interesting opinions on how to monetize your blog.

Unfortunately, I couldn't meet every single blogger and individual that attended the event, but I was able to meet some fabulous people and be introduced to some wonderful blogs. As the event was a huge success, I look forward to the next conference.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Today is Mother's Day and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to my incredible Mum, who always provides me unconditional love and support and without her encouragement, the Miss Bias blog would have never been initiated. Therefore, I am forever grateful to her, as the blog has given me so many new experiences and allowed me to meet some extremely lovely people. I thoroughly enjoy the process of blogging and hope to continue to love it in the future just as much as I do now. I love you Mum!
