5 Creative Ways to wear Leggings

It's getting so much colder here in Melbourne and I always like to find creative ways to wear staple items. I know I will be wearing tights/leggings over the next few months and so will many other women. So here are some creative ideas on how to add your own personal style to the staple tights/leggings.

1. Prints the word....go bold in colour and patterns to bring out your personality and add a little life to the drab feelings of the cold weather. Pair with basic, plain coloured tops, cardigans, jackets and coats or go OTT with head to toe print (complimentary or clashing). Heels, wedges, ankle boots, knee high boots all will work with printed tights/leggings.

 2. The Knit Stirrup - if leggings/tights are cutting it when it comes to keeping your legs warm then find a plain or patterned set of knit stirrups to ensure that you stay warm and comfortable no matter whether you are inside or outside.

3. Active ankles - if you are like me, my toes are the parts of me that get the coldest. So warm them up with style by layering ankle socks over stockings, tights or leggings. Match or mix colours, go plain over prints or vice versa, add a little girly femininity with frills.

4. Black Texture - rather than go opaque or plain sheer in the standard black stocking/tights, add a little sex appeal by investing in some interesting printed and/or patterned stockings which will make heads turn to look at your lovely legs.

5. Lovely layers - whether it's just adding dimensional layers in different lengths or placing textured or printed tights underneath cut out leggings or jeans, this is another creative way to bring about an unique sense of style.

Very cool ideas! How would one go to style their body shape if they didn't have long, lean legs but wanted to pull of a print. What would you recommend?
